September is here! I’m certainly going to enjoy the last days of summer before the pace picks up after Labor Day Weekend! But--it’s that time of year to get serious about work, catch up with family and friends, and spend time out-and-about the town!
When my calendar is full, I like to have key pieces in my wardrobe that transition from summer right into fall and can be worn several ways. I found the perfect transitional top on Revolve that does just that. Having this trendy, well-tailored top that is cropped at just the right place makes getting dressed a lot easier during these busy days, especially because I can wear it with everything from pants to jeans and skirts.

The Lena Blouse By L’ Academie. Available at Revolve. All my Revolve Favorite Picks HERE.
This chic and well-fitted blouse is made of a cotton poplin fabric for a crisp fall feel. The cropped length pairs perfectly with both high-waisted pants and skirts without adding any bulkiness. The buttoned cuffs and collar give it a polished vibe, while the ruched drawstring sides add in a fun and feminine detail. The neutral color adds to the top’s versatility as it pairs well with black, white, and denim.

Look 1: Top with black slanted-hem midi skirt
The Lena Blouse looks great paired with a black midi skirt, another great transitional piece for the fall. This look highlights just how flattering this top is with its ruched sides. I love that the cropped length means I don’t have to tuck it in (no unnecessary bulk around the midline). Simply tie up the strings on the side, and your waist is perfectly accented. I’ve paired this look with heeled slides and a classic Prada handbag. Black sunglasses and gold chunky jewelry complete the look.
This Black Elaine Kim asymmetrical midi skirt is sheer sophistication (sold out). SHOP similar HERE.
Look 2: Top with white pants
Here, I’ve paired the Lena Blouse with a pair of nice, lightweight white pants that I purchased on Amazon. Rolling up the sleeves to showcase my stacked bracelets, Hermes wrap-around Apple Watch, and a few favorite rings, I’ve accented the look in a fun, yet polished way. I’m also wearing braided nude heels that work well with the latte color of the blouse. When wearing all neutrals, I like to add a fun pop of color so my fave pink Strathberry nano-tote bag with gold hardware did the trick!
Look 3: Top with denim and sneakers
I love that this top can be easily transitioned into a more casual look. By pairing the blouse with fray-hemmed denim and Nike sneakers like I did here, the look is immediately “elevated daytime.” I’ve stacked some mixed metal bracelets, my favorite Cartier watch, and finished the look with my square-framed, oversized Ray-Ban sunglasses that have a retro feel. The hem of the top hits just above the waistline of my jeans here in a flattering and understated sexy way.
